Coaching Philosophy
Kevin’s philosophy is grounded in comprehensive player development. He fosters a patient, educational learning environment built on up-tempo, high-intensity practices that emphasize aggressive play and structured team systems.
In addition to years of coaching, Kevin Smith served as Hockey Director of the Dallas Oilers (2010-2015) and Texas Warriors (2015-2023). Through positive reinforcement and accountability, Kevin instills commitment to the players, staff and families toward personal growth—both on and off the ice. His approach balances skill development, tactical awareness, and character building, preparing athletes for success at higher levels of competition.
