Coaching Philosophy
My philosophy is to develop players into fast, physical, and intelligent competitors while building the mental habits required for elite performance. By incorporating sport psychology principles such as focus, resilience, and confidence, players learn to handle pressure, compete consistently, and make quick decisions in game situations. Development, accountability, and daily improvement form the foundation of our team culture.
Get to know Cameron
I am currently studying sport and child psychology at Grand Canyon University, where I continue to deepen my understanding of athlete development, leadership, and mental performance. My coaching philosophy is heavily influenced by sport psychology, and I enjoy applying those principles to help athletes build confidence, resilience, and a deeper understanding of the game.
Outside of the rink, I spend much of my time building and growing development programs through Steen Sports Systems and looking for new ways to improve the training environment for players. When I’m not coaching or working on new ideas for player development, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with family.
